Waitlist is committed to a website everyone can use — including practice owners and visitors who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, magnification, or other assistive technology. Accessibility isn't a compliance checkbox for us; a growth company whose own site excludes people has a credibility problem, and we know it.
Our commitment
We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA — the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines from the W3C — across every page, tool, and form on this site. New pages and features are reviewed against that bar before they ship, and the whole site is re-checked on a regular cadence and whenever we make significant changes.
What's implemented on this site
Keyboard navigation. Every interactive element — navigation, calculators, the diagnostic's six steps, forms, and CTAs — is reachable and operable by keyboard alone, in a logical tab order. Focus is always visible; you'll never wonder where you are on the page.
Text, contrast, and readability. Body text meets AA contrast ratios against its background. Text can be resized to 200% without breaking layout or requiring horizontal scrolling. We don't use color as the only way to convey information — required form fields are labeled in text, not just in red.
Structure and screen readers. Pages use a single logical heading hierarchy, landmark regions (header, main, navigation, footer), and descriptive link text — no "click here." Images that carry meaning have alt text; decorative images are marked as such so screen readers skip them. Data tables use proper header markup.
Motion and timing. The site honors the operating system's reduced-motion preference — decorative animation is minimized or removed for users who request it. Nothing on the site auto-plays, and there are no time limits on reading content or completing the calculators and diagnostic.
Forms and tools. Every form field has a visible, programmatically associated label. Errors are described in text next to the field that caused them, not only by color. The calculator and diagnostic inputs work with keyboard and screen readers, and their results are announced as plain text — never trapped inside an inaccessible widget.
Known limitations
Honestly stated, because a statement that claims perfection isn't credible:
- Third-party embeds. Analytics scripts and any embedded third-party content are outside our direct control; we choose vendors with accessibility commitments and isolate their content where possible.
- Generated image placeholders. While our illustration library is being produced, some pages render labeled placeholders. These carry descriptive alt text and captions so their meaning isn't lost.
- Older PDFs or downloads, if we publish any, may not yet meet the same bar — we'll provide an accessible alternative on request while we remediate them.
Feedback and reporting issues
If you encounter a barrier — a page that's hard to navigate, a tool that doesn't work with your technology, text you can't read — we want to hear about it. Email hello@dentalsmarketing.com with:
- The page URL where the problem occurred
- What you were trying to do
- The browser and assistive technology you were using (if any)
We acknowledge every report within two business days. Confirmed barriers are fixed as a priority, not parked in a backlog — and we'll tell you when the fix is live. If you need content in an alternative format (large print, plain text, a phone walkthrough of a calculator result or diagnostic), ask in the same email and we'll provide it.
Assessment and review
We check accessibility through a combination of automated scanning, manual keyboard-only walkthroughs, and screen-reader testing on new templates before they ship. This statement is reviewed at least annually and after any significant redesign — the published date above always reflects the latest review.
